Anand Patel had been the Additional City Engineer with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation. Over years of experience, he has put in massive efforts in the construction of houses for the urban poor by engaging in Slum Relocation and in-situ Redevelopment under schemes/programs by GoG, GOI. He holds degree in Universalizing Socio-economic Security for the poor from ISS, Netherlands and has been awarded for Slum Networking Programme as best practice at Dubai International Award.
Bijal Brahmbhatt has over 25+ years in different cities across multiple states can be best summed up to be in the areas of formal, informal, and governance for housing and habitat. Her programmes have helped women participate in city-level initiatives, a small step to make cities inclusive. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering and has a certificate in Urban Planning and Management, from the Institute of Housing Studies, Netherlands.
Bharati Bhonsale has an experience of 25 years in managing and implementing Slum Upgradation Projects emphasizing on Water, Sanitation and Housing projects. She has extensive knowledge of planning Byelaws for low-income housing and Heritage precincts development. Her knowledge bank also includes extensive implementation of the PMAY (U). She is a civil engineer and heads Housing and related programs.
Professor Darshini Mahadevia is a well-known scholar whose research focuses on equity concerns within urban policies relating to climate change adaptation and mitigation, and human and general development. She received her doctoral degree in Urban and Regional Development from Jawaharlal Nehru University. In particular, Professor Mahadevia’s research has focused on cities and the policies and processes of their development from an equity perspective.
She has over 30 years of experience in handling and supervising construction projects. Where her majors is in developing IEC materials for the women construction workers and delivering them to grassroot women by enhancing their skills. That leads to linking the women workers with central and state government programmes for poverty alleviation and income generation.
She has over 23 years of experience in the Development sector. She leads the WATSAN and Participatory Governance portfolios. She has significantly contributed to building capacities of social capital- grassroots women leaders, such that they advance constructive dialogue and action on improving their housing, living and working environment in cities.
He is a development officer with 21 years of strategic & operational experience with international organisations including 10 years at leadership positions at Global & National level. He holds M.Sc. in Disaster Mitigation, M.Sc. in Life Science & MBA (major in Finance). He is an Alumni of the prestigious Harvard Kennedy School & work experience in multi-cultural & challenging countries like India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Tajikistan & Myanmar.
She is a Electrical Engineer and she has over 20 years of experience in a range of community energy programmes including grid electrification, renewable energy, climate change, energy auditing and developing of efficient energy entrepreneurs. She also has conducted evaluations and assessments for community energy programmes across the states of India.
He is a practicing Urban and Infrastructure Planner with working experience 10 years across all tiers of National, State & Local Government and academia in Housing, Water and Sanitation. He has Work Experience with Gujarat State Government projects across various sectors like Development Sector, Real Estate, Tourism, and Tribal, and Transport sector.
